OMG!!!! I'm so excited! My trainer wants me to do a combined training (eventing) scholing show on July 2nd... Thats in like 3 WEEKS! I'm only going to be competing in Beginner Novice, where the jumps are 2'6" on the stadium and xc, and the dressage is fairly easy, but I have SO much to work on. I have to get Min used to Xc, and we're going to have to go through water(i think thats cool!). Then I have to get used to doing jumper courses at a jumper speed, not his normal hunter stuff that we've been doing. Not to mention dressage.... I've never done dressage before!!! All I have to do is walk, trot and canter, but we have to do all three on a circle, and Min doesn't turn very well at a canter... oh well, it will still be fun even if i make myself look like an idiot! I have a lesson tommorrow, to start working on the dressage and then do a little jumping, and then on monday we're going to trailer Min and my instructors horse Dancer to Pine Hill where the show is to school on XC course, and then take it from there... wow that was one long post!

Thanks guys! I've had a lesson every day for the past 4 days trying to get ready for it! I have to learn everything this week, and then practice it on my own all next week, cuz my trainer''s going to Rome w/ her daughter... I'm so jealous!

Thanks guys! I swear going from riding hunter style to riding dressage is impossible.... its driving me crazy. Although I have to say dressage saddles are MUCH more comfortable... especially since my instructor's letting me use her's which was custom made in scotland... it's comfy! My mom went and video taped all four of my last lessons so I can go back and review those next week when my instructor's gone... so thats good. and my dressage test is really easy, my only problem will be the circles... but were working on that.

He's getting better, but he's a TB and easily distracted. So we'll be circling fine he'll have a bend and be on the bit and everything, and then out of nowhere something catches his eye and he falls apart. so now we just have to get it to the pint where he doesn't lose concentration....but either way he's still doing really good.
