Ok well the weather has been so bad I havent been able to ride for about 3 months. today was the first ride in about 3 months.
baby was feeling REALLY good because he hasnt even been able to go into the pasture to play so he had energy to burn. since he was feeling so good and I could feel him wanting to go into a canter which i wasnt going to let him becuase of the snow it was to deep and I didnt needing him steping wrong and getting injured if he desided to buck or something. so I take him in the drive way and soften him up and work on a few leg yeilds and a few other warm up things. after a few minutes he started really responding to my leg and I asked dad if he could watch and see if he was leg yeilding right or half lazy like and all the sudden dad eyes got really big and his mouth droped to the ground and he was standing there in amazement becuase baby was tracking straight as an arrow and his hind and front feet were in unison with each other.
I stop him and really prase him and dad comes over and tells me baby looked like he was dancing and that someone was moving his feet for him. and i showed mom since I had to work on it the other way and she was saying the same thing it looked like he was dancing because he had a prance in his step as he was doing it.
IM SO HAPPY dad has seen a lot of leg yeilds and has worked a lot with horses and he said thats probebly one of the best most percise leg yeilds has ever seen. and dad wont tell you something if its not true. ;D ;D
im so happy with baby and every thing I cant wait until the the snow melts and I can set up my arena and start riding regularly.
