thats the thing about dressage even though its not that quick but there is not one horse out there that knows everything and does it perfect EVERY move can bee better or can become liter or what ever you ALWAYS have somthing new to work on LOL but I dont really care for the quick motion any way not after I was made to do it with my feet out of the sturups and I couldnt hang on to the horn and it was my FIRST time of ever doing a role back and then the same thing happend with the spin when i tried it and i mean this horse flat spun on little tap with you leg and you never had to touch her again until you started the other way but every time I came flying off since I wasnt alowed sturups and if I did start to fly off I would get my hands slaped if I touched the horn so I got were I didnt like it and I went into barrell racing and got away from the person that was teaching me the raining and I did a little better in that but I really excel at dressage and jumping

That first person had no buisness trying to make you do all that without sturups. Especially since it was new to you. I've only been made to do no sturups when I was learning and only at a walk, trot and lope. That was just to learn how you should sit properly and strengthen our legs. I would hvae a hard time spinning and doing rollbacks without sturups to. And also, its rediculous that you couldn't touch the horn. Its better to grab the honr then to fall off and risk getting hurt. thats the thing about dressage even though its not that quick but there is not one horse out there that knows everything and does it perfect EVERY move can bee better or can become liter or what ever you ALWAYS have somthing new to work on LOL Thats the same with reining. No horse will ever be perfect. You can have a perfect run (which is rare) but the horse will never be perfect all the time.

Nothing is perfect. You'll never have a perfect horse in anything. Its just not humanly possible.

it was retarted with that person. so I got were I didnt like it because every time (like I said i had an experanced rainer and you just had to touch her side once and she would keep going until you asked her to stop. but I got were I could not stay on (and remember I was little and I wasnt even cantering bare back yet) so I got were I was afraid of doing it so that is when I moved into barrels but then I got hurt and the doctor said if I had anouth fall like that than i would probebly brake my back so that is when i started into western pleaser then i moved onto dressage affter that
I have a brace that i use that will help with steadiness of my back so I can take small jumps and of coarse I have a supper padded protector when I jump but also Im willing to take that risk of falling off again so I have fun with it and if i do feel that i cant take somthing than my trainer backs up and does somthing differant until im ready and I feel I have the ballance to do what ever she wanted me to

Start small. Just jump a small pole or log or something.

Ya, don't try 2 point until your horse actually jumps the poles. me and my friend spent half an hour trying to jump our horses (this was before shadow). Her hosre got it, mine didn't. I would hvae fallen on my face each time if I tried 2 point.
