I just had a show this weekend so heres how I did. On Day one (Saturday) our frist patter was pattern 5 and our second was pattern 6. On pattern 5 She spooked at the beginning so she was tense the whole ride and our right lead departure was on hte wrong lead. But the good news is that lead departure was our only real mistake of the weekend. I scored 63 1/2 and didn't place. Then on pattern 6 I scored a 67 adn got third place.
On day 2 I did pattern 6 the 5. On pattern 6 I got 67 1/2 and come in third again. I was happy with my 2 third places but I still had one more class and of coarse I wanted to win. Well my class was the last class of the day and I was the last rider. So while I was warming up my trainer was teasing me about how we all have to wait behind for me to ride. So I was like "If I'm not mistakin, you were the last rider of the last class last year at the slide and spin" and he was like "well I made up for it by winning so you had better go and win this to make up for it". So I was watching this guy run (and he was really good) and he got a score of 69 so I thaught no was will I beat him. So I went in and I was trying SOOOO hard. And once I finished I was glad that we didn't mess up and I knew we did well but I didn't know if it would be enough to win. So when I heard the anouncer say "and the score for Cassie Goerzen on Snow Shadow is 69 1/2" I was just so happy! And EVERYONE was screaming (even the coach from WW Stables whos student was teh guy who got 69). This was an informal show so they only had ribbons for a few classes so all I got was a sweater (from Old Dutch, the biggest sponsor of NRHA) and I'll be getting 3 checks.
