lol I'll probably never take up reining! It looks like a lot of fun, so I may try it sometime, but trust me, i'd be awful at it.

um, well if you did it everyday I'd say it'd take about 3 months to get the hang of it going from a basic western background. Then another few months to get everything going very nicely. All with a trainer everyday of coarse. Without a trainer, people would find it very difficult and be poor at it. Its not very hard in my opinion but its very technical so you have to know what to look for, and how to react and to fix things, which is really what you need the trainer for.

Lol for the spinning thing *idk what it's called sorry lol* I would just get incredibly dizzy and slide right off the side, idk how you keep count lol!

spinnings easy, you just sit back and you keep your legs off (you should take your inside leg off more and first and move your hand over, then put your hand back once in the spin) so you can push into the sturups for balance but not to much or you'll lift yourself up. Easy stuff.
